Blue Knob All Seasons Resort has a new owner. According to documents filed in both Blair and Bedford counties, the resort has been sold to Sustainable Hospitality & Development LP, 302 Grant St., Suite 3440, Pittsburgh. The company had applied for a $2.5 million state development grant through the Redevelopment Capital Assistance Program. According to the RCAP website, the funds were to be used for acquisition of the site and to regrade the learn-to-ski area and install a covered moving carpet. Adjacent to the learn-to-ski area, a beginner/intermediate terrain park would be created, which will share the moving carpet and also be served by a new handle tow operated on busier ski days. To ensure adequate snow cover, the company proposed to install state-of-the-art automated snowmaking and upgrade its pumping capacity allowing for an earlier opening. The six investors believe the area is a “diamond in the rough.” They plan to make it a year-round resort with many amenities.
