Generally, there are two major trips. Both an eastern and western week long trip. One or more local weekend trips are generally planned. Major trips are usually planned in May and June. It is earlier every year. For this reason, the best time for new members to join is then. The major trips are often sold out by early fall although there are often last minute openings.
We have a monthly meeting. This is normally the third Tuesday of each month at the Middle Road Inn at 1822 Middle Road in Glenshaw. The meeting starts at 7:30 PM. If you are eating too, arrive to place your order at 7:00 PM or earlier. You are welcome to drop by to learn a bit about us. This is the best way to get to know us before joining. Just in case there is a change of the meeting schedule we will send a note. We can let you know of any last minute meeting changes.

If you are interested in joining, print a copy of the membership form (under the FORMS/Membership Form tab), follow the instructions and mail it to the membership chair. Our membership year begins in September. Persons joining in June, July, August and September will have memberships valid until September of the following year.
Der Sitzmark is a member club of the Western Pennsylvania Ski Council. This gives us access to trips sponsored by both ski council and other member clubs.
We also have a club policy of no smoking during group club functions.
