Our first outing to Hartwood Acres went well. 17 of us ventured out on a cool evening for the first of the county’s summer concert series. The River City Brass performed on June 1, which should have been a warm evening. We indulged in whatever meals we brought, lots of snacks we shared, and got a few nice things the band was giving away. It was fun to sit around and catch up with each other. The band played a variety of music though the cool evening finally got to most folks and only 3 of us made it to the end. Who would have thought we would need ski jackets on the first of June. We’ll try again on July 6 to hear the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and hope for warmer weather.
