On Friday, February 13th, a group of Der Sitzmark members and a few guests who we will welcome as new members took to the courts in the RIDC Park in O’Hara to eat, drink, and play bocce. There were lots of compliments about the food and beverages. I’m not sure how good we were at playing bocce, most of us for our first time, but everyone got to learn how the game is played and had a fun afternoon. All 24 of those who attended asked when we could do that again. Because of the interest, we will schedule our next bocce afternoon for Friday, March 13, starting at noon. We plan to eat around 11:30-12:30, set up teams of 4 and play from 1:00 until 2:00 or 2:30. As was stated in the notice sent last week, we need to know how many want to play bocce so the correct number of courts can be reserved. Please call or email and put March 13 on your calendar. Feel free to invite a friend. New members are always welcome.
