Minutes of Meeting – February 20, 2024

Dot Easter presented information on the 77th Annual Pennsylvania Maple Festival to be held in April in Meyersdale, Pa.  There was no interest from our club members for this event.

There was a brief discussion regarding changing our club’s name.  Libby Murphy mentioned that the newsletter has a brief line on the front page “Join us and make the best of all seasons.”  Also, on the renewal sheet it states that we are a year-round social/sports/ski club providing a variety of activities for its members.

As of this date, there is still no Vice President.

Minutes of Der Sitzmark Ski Club Meeting – May 17, 2021

Seems like many of us are ready to venture out now that we’ve been vaccinated.  We’re ready for some normalcy and the meeting gave about 20 of us a chance to reconnect and feel “normal” again..  Joe Hrason was unable to attend and Dave Potts took over for him and lead the meeting.

Ron Sarver – Treasurer’s Report

$4713.48 in the treasury – nothing owed

Ron said we send out about 150 newsletters.

Patty Adams suggested changes for the Membership Application and these changes will be made for next year’s form.  Since we don’t have members with children anymore, children’s signatures will not be on the application and the application will fit on one page.

Judy Neyer – WPSC

Big Sky is sold out, but has a wait list

Jackson Hole – still has space

No information yet on the Lake Placid at the end of January 2022.

Patty McLaughlin is putting together a trip to Breckenridge for 2022.  Information on that trip will be emailed separately to all members.  It will be ski in/ski out with two bedroom condos or a hotel room.  The Epic pas for 5 days is $550.

Mary Ann reported that the everyone has cancelled for the France trip due to Covid and the difficulty of entering and leaving France.  Mayflower Tours has agreed to let everyone transfer any money they already paid for the France trip to another trip using the credit in the next year.  She is working on a steamboat trip on the Mississippi River on September 25, 2022.  The cost of the trip is very similar to the France trip.

The Annual Picnic will be held on August 22.   More details to follow.

Mary Ann will start looking into scheduling a Christmas party.
